In 1964 at 15 years old, Bob Sampson started working at a boat dealer in Sunset Beach, CA pulling weeds in the display lot . Soon he worked up to washing the new boats. A few years later the Uniflite factory took over the store and brought in Paul Albrecht to run it as a factory store. Bob was hired at that time to wash and wax the new boats and for helping outfit them with the rigger named “Uncle Al”.

After awhile, the customers started requesting Bob Sampson to outfit their boats. Paul and Cheryl Albrecht took over the factory store and called it Uniflite Yacht Sales. Bob soon became service manager and ran the crew.

In 1981, Bob Sampson opened Rig-Rite Marine in Huntington Beach, CA doing all types of rigging and repair work including warranty work direct to the Uniflite factory in Bellingham, WA.

Rig-Rite Marine was set on integrity and quality of products and workmanship as the company grew. Rig-Rite Marine became a one stop outfitting company doing almost everything on power boats - electronics, bait systems, complete refitting, custom instrument console. You name it, Bob did it or had the contact to have it done to Rig-Rite Marine standards.

As a Village watermaker dealer and than Offshore Marine watermaker dealer, Rig-Rite Marine was off and running in becoming a watermaker specialist.In 1992, Filtration Concepts Inc, now known as FCI Watermakers, came into the industry with the attitude of being the leader in watermakers. Rig-Rite Marine was onboard with them on one of the first machines they built (and itʼs still running). Rig-Rite Marine is the area distributor and dealer for the finest watermakers made FCI Watermakers.
